More Than Just Dry Cleaning
At Busy Bee Cleaners, each garment is individually evaluated to determine the safest and most effective method of cleaning. For many high-end and delicate items, drycleaning is the best option to clean and restore them. However – depending on the type of stain, and the material your clothing is made out of – wetcleaning and handwashing are both excellent solutions. For optimal results, each piece is uniquely treated to remove a wide variety of stains, which include grease, lipstick, ink, blood, food, coffee, wine and even toothpaste!
Our Services
Dry Cleaning
Dry Cleaning is a time tested, solvent based process, which utilizes advanced chemistry to dissolve grease, and to lift and remove organic & inorganic stains. When it comes to soil removal, dry cleaning is one of your most effective cleaning options; many garments can only be effectively restored by dry cleaning. However, wet cleaning can also be utilized to complement the dry cleaning process, as the make-up of some garments necessitates a more customized care process.
Wet Cleaning
Wet cleaning is an environmentally friendly method of garment care. Wetcleaning utilizes gentle organic soaps and surfactants to coat the fibers of fabrics which allows water soluble stains to dissolve – while protecting the fabrics from swelling and shrinking. The wetcleaning process allows our garment-care specialists to clean and dry your clothing to a predetermined moisture percentage based on fabric content. This is quite advantageous, as most fabrics must not be dried 100% – this is where shrinkage usually occurs. Furthermore, intricate beadwork and sequins can be cleaned much more effectively by way of wet cleaning; as it is gentle on these delicate appliqué.
Executive Shirt & Blouse Laundry
Each day at Busy Bee, we launder and press hundreds of shirts and blouses to provide our customers with paramount results, time and again. Our new Sankosha tensioning shirt press allows us to create the highest quality executive shirt &/or blouse.
Flatwork Ironing
Sheets & Tablecloths
Flatwork Ironing is Busy Bee’s newest addition to our full range of services. Our oversized Chicago Flatwork Ironer allows us to professionally press tablecloths and sheets with a width of up to 136 inches. It functions like a gigantic hot rolling pin which turns a wet and crumpled sheet, tablecloth or pillowcase into a smooth, professionally finished product. Don’t ever stress over a wrinkled tablecloth again. We offer both retail and hospitality-based flatwork services. Think back to a time when you splurged and stayed in an expensive hotel suite for the night. We aim to provide the same calibre of freshly pressed sheets that you would find in any of the world’s top hotels. Your mother-in-law would be proud!
Stain Removal
Effective stain removal is one of the cornerstones of a professional dry cleaning facility. Our vast array of stain specific solutions, in conjunction with both dry cleaning and wet cleaning processes allows us to remove an impressive range of spots and stains. We have been successful in restoring 90 year wedding dresses, blood soaked clothes from automobile accidents, and even waiters’ tuxedos that have been subjected to a wayward plate of food. We love the challenge, and have provided “jaw dropping” results in the past.
Professional Pressing and Finishing
The first major improvement in dry cleaning pressing and finishing equipment in the last 40 years has been “tensioning”. Garments are gently held in place while heated air is blown through the garment from the inside. The upgrade from simple form finishers to tensioning form finishers is dramatic. Not only are your clothes pressed well, they are formed to the correct shape so your clothes hang on your body perfectly. This style of finishing is especially well suited to the recent increase of wet cleaning. The two systems work hand in hand to provide the best in cleaning, finishing, odor control and environmental stewardship.
